In the evenings, savor a glass of wine at the Eagles Nest Winery (day passes available; ages 16+), or cozy up by the gas fireplace after a day of exploring. The home’s luxurious king suite and resort amenities—including community fire pits, nature trails, and seasonal amphitheater concerts—create an exceptional setting for a romantic escape. Please note, some outdoor amenities such as concerts and the ropes course are only available seasonally.

Small families will love the blend of luxury cottage comfort and resort excitement. Kids have their own alcove with twin beds upstairs, while parents enjoy the spacious king suite. Please be aware: some premium facilities are member-only, and road noise may be noticeable outdoors and at times indoors, reflecting the convenient location.

For outdoor enthusiasts and anglers, Eagles Nest’s River Club provides access to 2,000 feet of private Elk River shoreline for catch-and-release trophy trout fishing—just outside your door. Bring your gear and get ready for fishing, or cast a line in the well-stocked fishing ponds. After a day on the water, explore miles of scenic trails for hiking or mountain biking, or challenge yourself at the sports courts (basketball, pickleball, and tennis). Note: some activities are seasonal, and guests must provide their own recreational equipment. Please observe all fishing regulations and licensing requirements.



Pet-Friendly Escapes and Dog-Friendly Amenities
Traveling with your four-legged companion? Reel Relaxing welcomes well-behaved dogs under 60lbs. Enjoy easy access to nature walks along the river or venture to the community dog park for off-leash fun. With plenty of outdoor space to explore together, you and your pet can make the most of the High Country’s fresh mountain air. Please remember to keep your dog leashed in common areas and observe community pet policies for a safe and enjoyable stay. Important Information
Check-in and Check-out Procedures
- Check-in is after 4pm. Check-out is by 10am.
- Guests must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) before entry information can be sent.
- Minimum age to reserve is 25. The person reserving must be the one signing the agreement and must be staying at the property during the reserved dates.
Property Access
- Guests have access to most amenities inside of Eagles Nest as well as the River Club amenities.
- Guests do not have access to the locked-off portion of the Sportsman's Lodge, the Fitness Center, the Wine & Cigar Bar, or The River Club Lodge. These areas require a membership and are not available for guests.
- The home has a private hot tub for guest use.
- All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle as indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
Policies and Rules
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- No events allowed.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals.
- Minimum age: 25 years. The person reserving must sign the agreement and be one of the persons staying in the property during the reserved dates.
- Children allowed.
- This home allows up to mature, well-trained dogs under 60lb only, with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- Guests are not allowed to bring their own ATVs. For information about ATV rentals, please visit: offroadadventuresnc.com.
- Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment, etc.).
- No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Fees and Payments
- There is an additional $35 per night amenity fee (max $175) to maintain facilities and features in the development.
- Firewood ordered will be delivered to the home, not to the fire pit. The home does not have a private fire pit. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.
- Eagles Nest Winery day passes are available onsite for $25.00 each.
Cancellation Policy
- Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
- Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit.
- Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
- All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
Parking Information
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov–March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle; chains may also be required if it snows.
Utilities and Amenities Access
- All Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.
- There is no land-line phone in this cabin.
- All BRMR homes offer well-stocked kitchens with utensils needed to cook meals.
- There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.
- Towels and linens are provided.
- Hair dryers are not provided.
Safety and Emergency Information
- Road noise from Highway 194, which runs behind this cabin, can be heard from the deck and grounds of this property, and louder vehicles can be heard inside as well.
Additional Notes
- OFF-PEAK SPECIAL: Stay longer than the minimum number of nights and automatically receive a 5-15% discount (only during rates listed as Off Peak).
- Fishing in the Elk River is catch and release only using artificial bait with barbless hooks. All anglers must have a valid NC fishing license on their person anytime they are fishing.
- All visitors at the winery must be 16 years or older. This is strictly enforced.

- River Club: Community fire pit next to the river (see fee above), 2,000 feet of private, pristine headwaters of the Elk River for catch & release fishing of trophy trout, stocked fishing ponds, outside ping pong table.
- Great Camp: BBQ Pavilion, Amphitheater (location of summer concerts from May to the end of November), Great Lawn, Playground, Hiking Trails, Ropes Course and Climbing Tower (seasonal), Mini-Golf Course, 24/7 General Store.
- North Pavilion: Ball Field, Sportsman's Lodge (unlocked portion only), Sports Court (Basketball and Pickleball), Dog Park, Walking Trail, Sportsman's Grille (Wed–Sun, hours vary), Fire Pit, Woodland Trail System (ATV Trails, Hiking, Biking).
- Camp (BYO Equipment): Tennis Courts, Pickleball, Disc Golf, Archery (restrooms and pavilion coming soon).
- Vineyard: Food and wine served, Eagles Nest Winery day passes available onsite. Hours: Thur & Fri 4pm–10pm, Sat & Sun 1pm–7pm. All visitors must be 16 years or older.
